Gorillaz is a British virtual band created in 1998 by musician Damon Albarn and comic artist Jamie Hewlett. The band primarily consists of four animated members: Stuart “2-D” Pot, Murdoc Niccals, Noodle, and Russel Hobbs. Their music videos usually consist of these characters doing some crazy things in their fictional universe, all with the same aesthetics and details. Among some of their achievements are winning a Grammy Award, two MTV Video Music Awards, an NME Award, and three MTV Europe Music Awards. In addition, they have also been named Best British Group at the 2018 Brit Awards and the world’s “Most Successful Virtual Band” by the Guinness World Records. Pretty amazing huh!

This band explores a wide variety of musical styles including hip hop, electronic music, and world music through an “eccentrically postmodern” approach that everyone loves. Their newest album, named Song Machine, features some incredible songs such as PAC-MAN or Friday 13th alongside sixteen more songs! They initially started releasing new songs every month with various different featured artists.

On the other hand, one thing you can’t miss is their music videos. The videos are incredible and super visually attractive and you really need to see them in order to complete the whole album experience. Visuals are one of the most important features in the music industry but they are highly important for Gorillaz to tell the whole story and showcase their amazing universe.

Gorillaz is a really special band for many people and we absolutely love their music and the whole universe they have created which really completes the fantasy and makes you wanna see more! We obviously love Gorillaz and we will be waiting for more songs, but in the meantime we are enjoying the Song Machine as much as all their previous songs. We keep living the fantasy every day!
